CSU has programs for students hoping to teach directly after completion of an undergraduate degree and for those changing careers into teaching who already have a bachelor's degree. If you have a passion for teaching, we have a program that will prepare you to chase your dreams.
Beginning your path into teaching? The undergraduate teacher preparation and licensure program includes information related to teacher licensure for students pursuing an undergraduate degree. There is no general undergraduate degree in education in Colorado. To become a teacher in Colorado, you complete professional education coursework and coursework in a specific subject area, meaning upon graduation, you will have the skills to effectively guide and manage your classrooms while also being able to expertly educate students within the subject of your choosing.
Many planning to teach already have a bachelor's degree. For those hoping to earn their licensure, a post-bachelor's licensure program is available. For those planning to earn a master's degree in addition to a teaching license, CSU offers master's degree programs.
