Some CSU instructors require proctors for online exams. Please refer to your syllabus and coordinate with your instructor before scheduling your exam.
We offer the following proctored exam options: online proctoring with Honorlock, on-site proctoring, and off-site (distance) proctoring.
Distance proctoring is available for students who are enrolled in a course which requires paper-based or online exams and are allowed to locate a verified and approved proctoring center in their area.
To take an exam with a distance proctor:
Complete the Proctor Identification Form (at the bottom of this page) at least 2 weeks prior to testing.
Wait for an email from our office confirming approval of your proctor.
Schedule the appointment with your proctor.
It is your responsibility to select an eligible proctor, schedule exams with your proctor, and abide by all rules regarding bringing only appropriate materials into the testing area. Mobile or other electronic devices are strictly prohibited. You will need to provide photo identification to your proctor prior to taking any exam. Appropriate identification includes: driver's license, CSU Student ID, passport, or other government issued photo identification.
If you cannot find a testing center in your area, please consult your instructor for permission to use your proctor.
