Veterinary Assistant Course Overview

Throughout this online veterinary assistant training program, you will learn a wide range of necessary knowledge and skills for veterinary assisting, including anatomy and physiology, animal restraint, laboratory and pharmacy procedures, emergency care, veterinary dentistry, human-animal bond, and more.

This veterinary assistant course will also cover how to interact professionally with clients and gain the expertise to educate them about key topics in pet care, such as nutrition, vaccinations, and administering medication. You will conclude with a lesson designed to help prepare for the job market, in which you will see how to create an effective resume, advance your expertise, and develop strong interview skills.

What you’ll learn:

  • The roles, responsibilities, and applicable laws and ethics of a veterinary healthcare team
  • Fundamentals of animal anatomy and physiology and basic examination tasks
