GSLL 1050 - MOOC: Navigating Conflict More Confidently

Conflict is a regular and normal part of navigating personal and professional spaces. This interactive course is designed to help you better understand conflict and build confidence to navigate conflict more effectively. Throughout this course, you will explore the progression of conflict and factors that contribute to how individuals show up in difficult conversations and tense situations. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to identify your personal patterns of reacting in conflict and learn effective tools and skills for navigating conflict.

At the end of this course, learners will:

  • Build an understanding of conflict and the opportunities it presents.
  • Express the costs of unmanaged conflict and the benefits that can arise from learning to navigate conflict confidently.
  • Recognize and articulate personal values, needs, and boundaries.
  • Describe the differences between intent and impact.
  • Identify skills and resources to help manage interpersonal conflicts.
