Earn your certificate in Social Aspects of Human-Animal Interactions (HAI) online

The unique bond between people and animals is a powerful tool for healing. As a student in this online program, you will study techniques specific to animal-assisted therapy and interventions.

Why study Human-Animal Interactions (HAI)?

This unique certificate program will train you how to safely and ethically integrate companion animals into a variety of treatment settings and create mutually beneficial relationships with animals and the environment. In addition, you will gain the skills to provide grief counseling during the loss of companion animals and to better address the demands facing veterinary professionals and other animal caregivers.

Developed in collaboration with the HABIC Center

This graduate certificate is offered in collaboration with the Human-Animal Bond in Colorado (HABIC) Center, which sponsors animal therapy programs, education, and research to explore and advance the benefits of the human-animal bond. Students may optionally pursue additional mentorship and learning opportunities offered through the HABIC Center. Contact your student success coach for more information.
