Dr. Tamla Blunt is a retired Faculty Instructor and Plant Pathologist from Colorado State University’s Agricultural Biology Department (formerly Bioagricultural Sciences and Pest Management – BSPM). A Plant Pathologist by training, Dr. Blunt returned to CSU part-time after retirement to support the online Horticulture Pathology course series and contribute remotely to Instructional Design for the UpSkill program.
She is experienced with a wide variety of plants, including greenhouse, forest, landscape, turf, vegetable, and cropping systems, along with the associated pathogens and toxins that affect them. During her time at CSU, Dr. Blunt taught LIFE102 (First-Year Biology), the online Horticulture Pathology series (BSPM355A, B, C), and assisted with the resident instruction course Elements of Plant Pathology (BSPM361).
In addition to her work at CSU, Dr. Blunt was a part-time instructor at Front Range Community College for 23 years, where she taught Landscape Plant Health Care, Plant Propagation, and Pesticide Safety and Use at the Westminster and Fort Collins, Colorado campuses.
