NSCI 665 - General Ecology for Science Educators

This course will provide a broad overview of fundamental ecological concepts for grade 6-12 science teachers. It will explore the interrelationships among organisms and their environment as well as foundational concepts for the various levels of ecological organization from individuals to populations, communities, and ecosystems.

Prerequisite

Admission to the Master of Natural Sciences Education program.; Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate (GR) OR Professional (PR)

Instructors

Dr. Justin Reeves is a Senior Instructor in the Department of Agricultural Biology at CSU. He also teaches for the University Honors Program and has previously taught for Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at CSU. Justin received his Ph.D. in ecology at Kent State University and has researched a wide range of topics spanning insect ecology, rangeland ecology, agriculture, and climate change.
