MU 590D - Workshop: Humanities: CASTA Conference Summer 2026

This continuing education credit opportunity is offered through Colorado State University for professional music educators in conjunction with the Colorado chapter of the American String Teachers Association Conference Summer 2026. Receiving “Satisfactory” credit for this course represents a students’ attendance of at least 11 sessions offered for the conference and submitted reflections for each attended session (submitted via email). This course is offered as a 1 credit course.

All students must fully attend all sessions at the workshop and complete written reflections for each session in accordance with the official 2026 CASTA Conference Summer 2026 Assignment. The official assignment for this course will be distributed to students at the workshop.  

Assignments must be submitted to the Instructor of Record by July 1, 2026.

You must register by June 24, 2026.

Adam Torres, conductor and pianist, joined the faculty of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance in 2011; he currently holds the rank of Senior Instructor and serves as Director of the Summer Residency Master of Music, Music Education – Conducting Specialization program.

An online-curriculum specialist, Mr. Torres' work with CSU encompasses a wide array of teaching and artistic contributions: courses taught include Music Appreciation, music theory, conducting, university orchestra, music research, and history courses in 19th Century music, Jazz, and Rock ‘n Roll. Adam additionally serves as the Instructor of Record for MU 590D, Continuing Education credits for the annual Colorado Music Educators Association Conference.
