MU 590D - Workshop: Humanities: Colorado Music Educators Association Clinic/Conference 2025

This continuing education credit opportunity is offered through Colorado State University for professional music educators in conjunction with the Colorado Music Educators Association annual clinic/conference. Receiving “Satisfactory” credit for this course represents a students’ attendance of clinics, lectures, meetings, masterclasses, and performances, as offered by the convention and discussed by the student via written reflections (submitted via email by February 16, 2025). This course is offered as a variable credit course; students may elect to complete a 1 credit or 2 credit track for MU 590D.

Adam Torres, conductor and pianist, joined the faculty of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance in 2011; he currently holds the rank of Senior Instructor and serves as Director of the Summer Residency Master of Music, Music Education – Conducting Specialization program.

An online-curriculum specialist, Mr. Torres' work with CSU encompasses a wide array of teaching and artistic contributions: courses taught include Music Appreciation, music theory, conducting, university orchestra, music research, and history courses in 19th Century music, Jazz, and Rock ‘n Roll. Adam additionally serves as the Instructor of Record for MU 590D, Continuing Education credits for the annual Colorado Music Educators Association Conference.
