LSPA 444 - The Intercultural Workplace

How do language and culture shape communication in the workplace? In this course, students explore the lived experiences of Spanish-speakers in U.S. professional settings through engaging case studies and projects, exploring topics such as cultural displacement and power dynamics. Alongside developing Spanish language proficiency, students build intercultural communication skills like empathy, rapport-building, and adaptability, that are essential for thriving in modern work environments.

Prerequisite

LSPA 300 to LSPA 399 - at least 3 credits. [*note: this means any 300-level 3-credit course]
