Peyton earned her BS in zoology at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. During this time, she participated in conservation research in Tanzania, where she studied vegetation diversity and interspecies relationships of zebra and wildebeest. After completing her undergraduate degree, she earned her Professional Science master's degree in Natural Sciences also at CSU.
