JTC 553 - Strategic Internal Communication

How do organizations move beyond simply sending message to truly engaging employees in meaningful, strategic dialogue? In this course, you will explore the theories and practices of strategic internal communication that shape how organizations inform, engage, and align their employees.

This course is designed to help you:

  1. Explain the principles of internal communication management. 
  2. Apply strategies and tactics to effectively design, implement, and evaluate internal communication plans.
  3. Evaluate case studies of internal communication to identify best practices.
  4. Critique internal communication strategy and counsel leaders on effective and ethical internal communication practices.
  5. Execute internal communication through multiple channels to interact with and engage employees.

Prerequisite

JTC 550 (concurrent enrollment in JTC 550 is allowed; request an override from your advisor).
