GEOL 122 - Geoscience--Climate and Environmental Change (GT-SC2)

Explore the Earth processes that shape the environment. Examine how Earth systems change and how people contribute to and are affected by these changes. Learn about climate change, the hydrological cycle, rock and mineral formation, weathering and erosion, glaciers, oceans, and plate tectonics. Build scientific skills and an understanding of the scientific process through making observations, interpreting data, performing calculations, reading maps, and evaluating graphs.

This course meets the All-University Core Curriculum (AUCC) requirements for Biological/Physical Sciences (Category 3A) and is approved under gtPathways in the content area of Natural and Physical Sciences without Lab (GT-SC2).

Prerequisite

Credit allowed for only one of the following: GEOL 110, GEOL 120, GEOL 122, GEOL 124, or GEOL 150.
