Topic Description – In-service training for teachers participating in the Confluence Institute - Focus on Watershed. Teachers will complete pre-workshop online instruction and activities beginning June 16, 2025, and complete before June 23, 2025. June 24, 25, and 26, 2025, teachers will spend 15 hours of in-person learning at the Poudre Learning Center using Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide 2.0 as the model to introduce students to issues that affect our watershed. Participants will tour Northern Water's Chimney Hollow Project and the NOAA Physical Science Lab in Boulder and participate in the Forest to Faucet STEM activity with CSU - Natural Sciences Education & Outreach Center. Participants will then have until July 7, 2025, to complete the final assignment of preparing a Project WET lesson plan that fits into their grade level curriculum.
This workshop will be a 2-hour semester graduate credit class.
