EDCT 590 - Workshop: Occupational Experience

  • 1 credit

Teachers provide documentation of 120-150 hours of work experience in the profession they are teaching.  An alternative to work experience can also be someone who has served in a committee for the community or school that required many hours accumulated over a year’s time.  It can also be a lead teacher who has mentored another teacher or a lead teacher who took students on an extended field trip abroad.  This credit can also apply to teachers who are coaching (sports, music, theater or other leadership activities for students).

A summary/reflection report is completed and turned in with an accompanying log of hours.  Documentation of hours is accumulated over a calendar year from place of work (business card, pay stub, or letter with verification of employment will be submitted with log) or other documentation that corresponds with activity being reported.
