AREC 520 - Intellectual Property in Food and Agriculture

Explores the critical role that intellectual property plays in commercial activities within the knowledge economy. Emphasis on strategic management of technology through patents and other control mechanisms, thereby allowing startups to survive and thrive in the knowledge economy with special attention to property developed in the agricultural and food systems.

Prerequisite

AREC 518 (Raising Capital in the Agricultural Sector); BUS 660 (Ethical, Legal, and Regulatory Issues); Graduate standing.
