Jen teaches online courses in Horticultural Science, Native Plants in the Landscape, Horticulture Production and Management, Urban Horticulture, and Green Roof Culture. Her research is primarily in the area of green roofs, especially plant species, substrates, interactions with pollinators, and moisture deficit conditions. Jen also does research on native plants for use in the green industry, local foods, and agrivoltaics (growing food under solar panels on top of buildings). Watch her ‘TEDx talk’ on agrivoltaics.
Henry Thompson is a professor in the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture Department within CSU's College of Agricultural Sciences. His research interests include human nutrition and breast cancer prevention.
