Mari Strombom

Associate Executive Director of Housing and Dining Services, CSU
Co-instructor, EDHE 676 – Organizational Behavior in Student Affairs

Mari StrombomI came to CSU in 1987 to get my degree in College Student Personnel Administration (CSPA, now SAHE) after having completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Interpersonal Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I completed my CSPA degree in 1989, and after 1 year of working at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, I returned to CSU as the Program Advisor for Campus Activities. After having spent most of the past 24 years in Fort Collins, I now call this my home, but I am still a proud Wisconsin Cheesehead at heart! My current job at CSU is as the Associate Executive Director of Housing and Dining Services. During my career I have also worked as an Area Coordinator, an Associate Director of Residence Life, as Director of Campus Activities, and I also left higher education for a while and worked in Human Relations at Hewlett Packard for 3 years.

Outside of work my focus is on spending time with my partner Brett and our two little boys, Max (who is 8 and will be in third grade) and Kirk (who is 6 and going into first grade). I have taught SAHE workshops in the past (College Union Administration, Working with Student Groups), and now I am co-teaching the Organizational Behavior in Student Affairs course with Lorie Smith.
